Joshua 1:9

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” As I have looked over the content that has been selected at random I have noticed a theme - storms and strength. I believe that God speaks to people however he can reach them so I can't help but wonder about this theme and what it means to someone reading this. I was recently asked to speak at a women's conference Believe For It - Empowering Your Faith from Infinitely More Life, https://www.infinitelymorelife.org/ Speaking, so far is not something I feel is a strength of mine. When I was asked, my anxiety level was pretty high. I prayed about it and began to form a plan about what I would say, well what God wanted to say through me. I have several versions of the speech and many more recordings where I learned my shirt stripes appear to move from my computer video, my natural lighting shifts depending on clouds and th...

Isaiah 4:6

Have you ever been in a season of heat and needed shelter from the storm? I have just recently come through a season of testing and purifying. It is often very difficult. I don't know about you but I am the kind of girl who tries to go it alone, I have the misguided belief that God is pretty busy solving bigger concerns than my little mess. So instead of going to Him, I complain to everyone around me. Loudly. Constantly. During this time, Exodus 14:14 kept coming across my screen. "The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." So I did, I was still and let Him fight for me. The answer was to let it go and let the LORD take care of it. This passage is referring to Are you wondering about the LORD vs Lord? LORD  In all caps or small caps, this title is a representation of the Hebrew name "YHWH", also known as the Tetragrammaton.   The Jews considered this title sacred and did not pronounce it.   When people try to pronounce it, it can sound like Yahweh...

Ruth - June 2024

As I studied the book of Ruth, I could relate to some parts of Naomi's life and then Ruth's. While I was not widowed, I have been divorced. This divorce left me struggling to raise two small children living at the poverty level. I left Texas for Wisconsin determined to make a better life for myself and my children. When I met my husband, it was at the lowest point of my life. I had just been unfairly fired from my job and my ex was suing me for custody of the kids because he thought he could raise them cheaper than the $80 a month he paid for child support.  While we were just dating he propped me up when I had given up, helped me make ends meet until I was on solid footing again. Together we went on to create a solid life, built around faith, family, hard work and dedication.  Boaz redeemed Naomi and Ruth, restoring their lives financially but also by marrying Ruth and having a child, he rebuilt the family that they had both lost. I am not sure how my story would have t...

It all started with a sentence I heard Beth Moore ask during her video, " A Woman's Heart. " She said, "what has you bent over?" The phrase stuck with me a long time. She didn't explain beyond that so I did some looking around. I landed on Luke 13:10-17. The story of the bent over woman. As I dove into this account, the richness of the scripture washed over me. I am sure I had read the story before but had not ever slowed down to really think about this account.  From there I started a bible study, my first on my own. I needed to think of a ministry name to launch this study. "thy kingdom come" was what I heard but I just couldn't reconcile the name with who I am. If it was from God, the ministry may not be blessed because of my disobedience (is the name Rebel Heart starting to make sense ;) Woven was another contender but then I heard Lauren Daigle's Rebel Heart song. Listen to it here . I knew I had found a home. How about you? Are you ...
